Weddings

Planning a wedding is an exciting time but it can be a stressful one too. My own wedding was conducted by a celebrant in our garden. In the middle of organising the food, the outfits and the entertainment, it was wonderful to be able to hand over the ceremonial details to someone we could trust, someone who had taken time to get to know us and our hopes and dreams for the day. We wrote our vows, chose friends to do readings and selected music, but it was our celebrant who suggested ways of involving our three children in the ceremony. Based on her knowledge of us as a couple and a family she also provided the passages and ‘stage’ directions to ensure the ceremony flowed and motivated our guests to join in singing and rejoicing with us. It was a wonderful day.
